The Frax 1550, or the “Frax Laser”, is a fractional laser used to resurface and rejuvenate the skin. This non-ablative treatment uses fractionated, or tiny fractions, of powerful laser beams to stimulate collagen production while also promoting rapid healing. Increased collagen production improves the appearance of scars, fine lines and wrinkles, and overall skin texture.

Massage a small amount on damp face and neck AM/PM. Rinse thoroughly. This formulation is gentle enough for post procedure skin to deeply cleanse oil, makeup, and other impurities.
ZO SkinHealth Exfoliating Polish
After cleansing, gently massage a small amount on damp face and neck 2-3 times/week to start building up to every day use. Rinse thoroughly. This formulation gently removes dead skin cells to instantly reveal smoother, softer + glowing skin.
ZO Enzymatic Peel
Apply to clean, dry skin at night 1-2 times per week or as needed. No rinsing required, rinse only if desired. This peel helps smooth uneven, rough textured skin, brightens dull looking skin, and improves the visible signs of sun damage.

SkinMedica AHA/BHA Cream
Apply to entire face and chest (if desired) after cleansing, toning, and applying treatment products AM/PM. This moisturizer gently exfoliates and improves the appearance of skin tone and texture revealing brighter skin. AHA/BHA Cream also can help reduce acne.
SkinCeuticals Phyto Corrective Mist
Use twice daily after cleansing and toning, and as needed throughout the day. This hydrating facial mist is both anti-bacterial and anti-fungal reducing the risk of break outs post-procedure. Formulated with a botanical blend of cucumber, thyme, olive leaf, and rosemary extracts sooth, calm, and reduce redness in the skin, while a 6.2% blend of hyaluronic acid and glycerin helps draw and retain water in the skin.

Alastin HydraTint Pro Mineral Sunscreen
Apply this sunblock as the last step of your skincare routine alone or under make-up and as needed. This all-mineral sunscreen is tinted and lightweight to hydrate and protect your skin from harmful UVA/ UVB rays while providing a soft, glowing appearance.
Common Questions
What is recovery like for Frax Laser treatment?
Patients may return to regular activities immediately after treatment. The treated areas may look slightly pink for a day or two following treatment. In some cases, the skin may also feel a bit warm or dry. The Aesthetica Master Esthetician will recommend medical grade skincare products to aid you with your recovery at home to help enhance the results of your treatment. It is important to wear sunscreen after your treatment and to avoid sun exposure. If you're sensitive to pain, ask your Aesthetica provider about getting you a prescription for topical numbing to apply prior to your treatment.
When will I see my Frax 1550 results?
Some patients report noticing results after 1 treatment. However, a series of 3-4 treatments may be recommended. Here at Aesthetica, we customize your treatment plan to help you achieve optimal results.

Most patients report feeling a tingling sensation and some heat in the skin during treatment. The Frax laser is built with a SoftCool air cooling system, which makes the treatment more comfortable for patients. We recommend using a topical numbing cream prior to treatment.

The infrared laser energy emitted by the Frax 1550 targets the water in skin cells and vaporizes them.
