How many treatments will I need with Sculptra?
The number of treatments can vary from person to person depending on genetics and how much collagen has been lost. On average, patients will need anywhere from 2 to 3 treatments of Sculptra collagen stimulating injections spaced 3 to 4 months apart to reach their specific skin goals.

What is the difference between Sculptra vs Juvederm and other dermal fillers?
Sculptra is different from Juvederm and other dermal fillers because it works with your body within the deep dermis, rather than topically, to help stiumulate collagen production and help restore your skin’s inner structure and volume. As the Sculptra Aesthetic microparticles are absorbed, they help stimulate collagen production. Rebuilt collagen strands begin gradually helping to restore facial volume and the look of fullness to wrinkles and folds.
How does Sculptra work?
Sculptra Aesthetic is made with biocompatible, biodegradable, synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid, which is gradually and naturally absorbed by the body and helps to rebuild lost collagen through a series of treatments administered by a trained specialist, like one of Aesthetica's Nurse Injectors here in Utah.
One of our Nurse Injectors will inject Sculptra within the deep dermis, where strands of collagen support the skin’s structure. Over time, Sculptra helps the body reproduce lost collagen.
What's the difference between Sculptra vs Radiesse?
Sculptra contains poly-L-lactic acid, which is an ingredient that is absorbed by the body over time. Sculptra uses an inflammatory response to trigger collagen production and thicken the skin. After being injected into the skin, it triggers the body’s immune system to create fibroblasts resulting in the production of collagen in the area injected for more firm, thick, youthful looking skin.
Radiesse is an injectable that combines hydroxylapatite, tiny calcium microspheres, with gel filler to stimulate collagen product while adding instant volume simultaneously. Although Sculptra and Radiesse are both biostimulators, Radiesse uses a non-inflammatory response for collagen production. The calcium particles in Radiesse become embedded in the skin and act as a scaffold to promote collagen stimulation.
